Cool breeze from up North.

That is her mantra.
Be a comfort to people.
Not a nuisance like many.
I believe, normally, this would be an essay, not a God shot. You are probably wondering what is the difference? Well, an essay is a nice to know topic. A God Shot has a personal/spiritual aspect to it. Ok, here goes . . .
Last Wed at 6:30pm during our weekly lesson on the teachings, Rev. Nagase chose two teachings written by Meishu-sama on the topic of Pragmatism. Rev. Vania shared an interesting practice that she has used over the years. She likes to think of herself as a cool breeze on a very hot day. As she was saying it, I couldn’t help thinking how this thought matched her personality. I thought of her as a cool breeze, and everything she shared felt inspirational and not pushy. And it was something I could accept as true and add it into my life or just leave it as a good idea . . . not worth trying, at this point, to add to my my life. The reason I was going to write an essay on this idea is because I thought it was good and I was going to give it a try. Well, I changed my mind this morning. It was the last dot I needed to connect to make this a God Shot. (Connecting the dots is so much fun ^_^) The first dot appeared in a Chapter of the book, Musashi, written by Yoshikawa Eiji. In this Chapter a wise master told Musashi that his weakness was . . . he was too strong. Wow! Ok. The next dot was a teaching of Meishu-sama concerning how members should behave when they are sharing our spiritual movement. The last dot was “Cool Breeze”. The reason I am not quoting passages is because I want to do something different with this God Shot. I am going to turn the passages into audios of the words being spoken by, yours truly. I hope you like it.
Going back to the dots. If we are too strong and use our strength and influence to convince the person to join the Divine Light Program, things may not work out because it may not be the right time or the correct decision for that person. But if you come across as a cool breeze the person may join because it is the right time. Now you are probably wondering where is the God Shot. Well, this morning Alison was sharing her concern about a meeting with her daughters. She was so concerned that it kept her up all night. Alison is spending quality time with her girls with one thought in mind, “Cool Breeze”. This morning when she shared her intentions, it felt like a good plan and my entire body resonated with the truth of her words. I have felt this before but never this strong. It truly got my attention and the results are this blog and my future use of this tool . . . “Cool Breeze”. I believe we all can become more pleasant by keeping this in mind. Thank you God! Thank you Rev Vania!
6/26/24 Update: It has been a few years since I have updated this blog. I have used the concept of Cool Breeze. I see the words quite often because I named my favorite playlist, Cool Breeze. ^_^ I think of Rev Vania quite often and I realize that my personality is similar to hers. Maybe I am not as “Cool” as she is, but I now realize that there is a right time for all things. I am leaving more situations up to God, and, “God’s will be done” is repeated in my head more often than not. The world around us is turbulent and our lives are also full of challenges but my faith in God has improved because of those simple words . . . Cool Breeze. Thank you again, God! And thank you again, Rev Vania.
