PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE

(Logical Mind)

08/06/22

Past – present – future.

What is the relationship?

They are connected.

Not by a time machine.

But by the love of God.

What is the relationship between the past, the present and the future (PPF)?

Today is a landmark day.  I realize now why Meishu-sama, and, a lot of other wise people recommend letting go of excessive worry in their lives.  Worry about the past and the future does tend to ruin the present.   PPF are connected to a degree that we don’t understand.  Originally, I was thinking this type of worry is a distraction to the focus we need to do anything well in the present.  Well, I believe it is even more important for another reason.

I now believe in God’s infinite power.  It is difficult to comprehend this power, but I would like to share a way of highlighting the gift he gave us.  If you believe in the quantum field and all the characteristics of this phenomena, then I hope this theory will work for golf and any other endeavor you select during your life.  I want to apply this to golf because I have a love for the game, and I hope this newfound relationship between PPF will be achieved in this one aspect of my life.  Of course, I will also apply this to all aspects of my life and whatever happens . . . will happen. ^_^

I think the best place to start is to put all the dots together that has brought me to this place.  I have a fascination with the concept of time.  I believe we came up with it so that we could put order into our lives.  But when we did this, we should have explained to everyone the danger of separating the PPF.  We have a tendency to separate everything in the physical world.  We separate ourselves from each other.  We see all things as being separate from us.  If we could see the ether and see how the spiritual world interacts with the physical world, with all the spiritual cords connecting everything, and thus, everything and everyone to God . . . we could then see the connection between the PPF.  Meishu-sama also described our connection to our ancestors.  This was a very good hint that our understanding of the concept of time was flawed.  Just imagine spiritual cords connecting us to our ancestors who of course lived in the past.  And if we help elevate their soul then we indirectly elevate our soul.  This is pretty cool stuff.  Dr. Dispenza put the frosting on the cake by sharing the weird science project that the Israelis conducted which once again confirmed a strange relationship between the present and the past.  He also shared his personal story about his biking accident.  His story definitely connected the present with his future.  And in a way, he also connected to his past.

This reminds me of the HG Wells, novel The Time Machine.  The latest movie version of the novel once again confirmed some aspect of this theory about the connection between PPF.  The main character of the movie was told by a future nemesis that his existence in the future with his time machine occurred because he lost his fiancé in a robbery gone bad in the past.  Of course, HG Wells used the time machine to connect PPF.  But the theory once again backs up this new approach to this situation.  Once the main character became aware of the reason for his fiancé’s death, he lost the excessive desire to go back to change it.  This change in perception of the past allowed him to see a new future which he then was able to proceed with his plan in the present.

This is a nice little package to now apply to every golf shot in a round of golf.  Excuse me while I take a short break and walk outside to my backyard practice facility and try out this theory on my golf game.  ^_^   I tried it out on three pitch shots, and they all hit the target.  I also swung my driver . . . what an amazing experience and wonderful results.  I am going back out there to check out my putting.    Wow!!! Also, amazing results.

This is all happening in one day.  I just got some great news.  One of my stepdaughters just was notified that she will be going to Hawaii for a second interview with Hawaiian Airlines for a flight attendant position.  And then, my other stepdaughter just passed a very difficult recertification exam.  ^_^

I just had to say that . . . but a thought came to me. We often proceed forward with fear in our hearts.  We could go into an interview or test unprepared and fearing failure.  Or we could go into the event prepared and give it our best shot.  I believe we live in a friendly universe which rewards hard work.   And if you apply this theory on PPF, what do you have??

Let me attempt to describe this relationship between PPF.  In God’s infinite wisdom, he is preparing us for our fate/destiny.  So whatever happens in the past . . . the good, the bad and the ugly . . . happens to us in preparation for our future.  The present is just a moving target that connects our past to our future.  So let’s say in your past you experienced a terrible accident on the I-10 returning from work (in my blog ^_^) and I walked away from it with a slight bruise on my left shoulder.  I walked away from that accident thinking I used up a lot of my luck.  I always considered myself a lucky menehune because of good fortune in my life.  That accident occurred in 2008 and my life did not change until the end of 2009.  Big changes started to occur in my life when I looked at that accident in a different way.  Luck had nothing to do with it.  I changed my understanding of the accident.  God was sending me a sign to help me decide on my mission.  He saved me so I could continue living in the physical realm probably to help with creating Paradise on Earth.  My understanding of all the close calls I have experienced further confirmed God’s intention of using me as an instrument of His will.

So, part one of this theory is:

  1.  A changed look/understanding of a past event will clearly change our future.  (It happened to the character in the movie, The Time Machine and it happened in my life)

Have you ever wondered why successful people have failures prior to their successes?  This theory is the reason why.  If you look at a failure the way God wants us to see it, it will change the course of our lives.  My stepdaughter had several failed interviews which she learned a lot from.  With that clear understanding of past mistakes, she walked into this interview and was more prepared than the other applicants. (Btw, fast forward a year and we find this step daughter working for arguably the premier airline in the world, Delta Airlines-failures bring us closer to success)  My other stepdaughter knew how difficult the test was going to be so she prepared accordingly. (If she had failed it would have brought her another step closer to success)

Now, you are probably wondering how I can use this on the golf course.  I don’t want to swing my golf club fearing the ball is going into a lake in front of a long 195-yard par 3 hole that is all carry.  Instead, I would like to thank God for the opportunity.  We all have past experiences which end in failure.  If we learn from the failure and become more skilled, then the past will influence our good fortune.  Imagine a beautiful shot going thru a window in the sky, the ball rocketing to the green and settling down 3 feet in front of the hole and bouncing once and rolling into the hole for an amazing hole-in-one.  I will thank God if that occurs or if I make a good swing and the golf ball hits a bird and it falls into the lake.  Either way . . . golf is an amazing game which mirrors life very well.  This attitude toward both apparent success and apparent misfortune is the best way to allow the universe to help you achieve your destiny.  And btw, part 2 of this theory comes into clear focus.

2.  If we don’t learn from our experiences/failures we will be doomed to repeat those experiences/failures into the future.

What is the relationship between the past, the present and the future (PPF)?

Two days ago, I wrote an essay on this subject that made logical sense to me and people may see the utility of using this theory to change their lives for the better.  Or they may only see the logic of the situation.  A smoker of 50 years sees the error in picking up his first cigarette and quits on the spot.  If the smoker understands the logic of the mistake than the decision to stop smoking sticks and after considerable effort and self-discipline the person is finally free from cigarettes.  Now, you are probably wondering about the weird science part of the PPF.  I will address that subject in this essay.

I woke up this morning at 4:30 and was struck by the clarity of what I am about to share with you.  We have all heard stories of miraculous healing.   Why is this possible?  I would like to change the above story just a little bit.  I am making up a story to demonstrate the weird science side of PPF.   The above smoker realizes the error of his ways and quits smoking.  This occurs 1 day prior to the scheduled surgery date.  The surgery is to remove half his lungs which had signs of a cancerous tumor.  He not only sees the error of his ways, but he goes back to the first cigarette he smoked as a teenager, and it was like he went back in a time machine and talked some sense into his teenage self.  His teenage self did not even pick up the habit.  The next day he sees the doctor and says he has stopped coughing and the pain is gone.  The doctor orders another CT scan and the cancer is gone.  This is a made-up story but if we did some research, I bet we could find real life instances where a patient recovered miraculously.  The question is why? And can we repeat it?

I propose the 3rd and final part of the PPF theory.

3.  Changing our perception of what happened in the past will shape our future in wondrous ways.  (Americans will love this one . . . immediate results)

Now you are wondering how we can truly believe we were able to go back in time and change our perception of things.  This is where the hard work comes in.  The reason you don’t hear too many stories like this is because not many people are like Dr. Dispenza.  And not many people are aware of Johrei (prayer in action).  And not many people know how to pray.  And not too many people are aware of Imagination Training.  And not too many people are aware of PPF.  ^_^

I am going to close with a thought from a previous blog.   I got this prayer from another member.

What we have here is the perfect partnership between our minds with a possible reality and God who knows what really needs to be done . . . Wow!!

There are many situations in my life where I am presently using this partnership. The prayer prior to starting Johrei is an important one. The prayer before and after a meal. The prayer before going to bed. The prayer before starting a project. The prayer before looking for a parking space in front of a busy store. The prayer prior to an important golf shot. ^_^

What follows is a slightly changed version of my previous blog:

What comes after the prayer is just as important. Wouldn’t it be nice, if by raising my hand . . . we can help this person. Wouldn’t be nice if eating this meal brings us enormous pleasure and lot’s of vitality. Wouldn’t it be nice if closing our eyes and going to bed, after 2 hours of reading, brings us deep, restful sleep. Wouldn’t it be nice if I could visit my younger self and talk some sense into him and not start this nasty smoking habit.   Wouldn’t it be nice if someone leaves a parking slot open for us in front of the store. Wouldn’t it be nice if this golf ball goes in the hole. ^_^

But with any result . . . Please thank God.

I just missed another opportunity to use this prayer.

While my family had an energetic discussion during breakfast about the, not so good present and a probable dismal future. It became very obvious to me from the beginning of the discussion the huge differences in opinion that we all had. That was normal but we did have a very difficult time seeing the other persons’s viewpoint. I found myself working on a response to my stepdaughter’s position while she was speaking which prevented me from truly listening to her point of view. And she possibly was having the same problem because she was very passionate about her position.

Well . . . the reason I am mentioning this is . . . I could have prayed to myself prior to the discussion. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could truly listen to each other’s positions. If we could . . . perhaps it would be more than just a discussion on why we are in such a mess . . . and possibly move the discussion to things that we could do to make things better.

Sort of jokingly I mentioned I am using this prayer on the golf course and in looking for parking spaces but I am truly looking for opportunities where this will help our present situation in more meaningful ways. Since this prayer is not automatically coming to my consciousness I will continue to use it on every golf shot. ^_^

Btw, you don’t have to stick with the exact verbiage. Wouldn’t it be great if (possible option) . . . we could remember this phrase when any challenge comes up in our lives. A better world may materialize.

I would like to share a paragraph from Meishu-sama’s Teaching entitled, “The Philosophy of Intuition” Meishu-sama wrote:

“The philosophy of intuition can correct the errors man is prone to make. When he observes something, he should face it with a pure, uncluttered consciousness, with complete open-mindedness. In order to do this, he should become the self of the moment; that is, he should rely on the impression he receives intuitively the moment he encounters something, for it is the impression he receives in that first moment that correctly offers the truth of what he has encountered.”

You are probably wondering how I am connecting the dots. What I am trying to share with you is on the frontier of spiritual thought. With the modern education and all of our experiences with the physical world it becomes very difficult to see new things with an open mind. Especially if the new thing is invisible and borders on science fiction fantasy. Changing the past seems impossible but when you bring prayer into the equation all of a sudden everything becomes possible. Why? Because intuition allows us to see all things with a perception which is closer to the truth then if we relied on our own, logical, much vaunted, educational mind.
