PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE

(Logical Mind)

08/06/22

Past – present – future.

What is the relationship?

They are connected.

Not by a time machine.

But by the love of God.

What is the relationship between the past, the present and the future (PPF)?

Today is a landmark day.  I realize now why Meishu-sama, and, a lot of other wise people recommend letting go of excessive worry in their lives.  Worry about the past and the future does tend to ruin the present.   PPF are connected to a degree that we don’t understand.  Originally, I was thinking this type of worry is a distraction to the focus we need to do anything well in the present.  Well, I believe it is even more important for another reason.

I now believe in God’s infinite power.  It is difficult to comprehend this power, but I would like to share a way of highlighting the gift he gave us.  If you believe in the quantum field and all the characteristics of this phenomena, then I hope this theory will work for golf and any other endeavor you select during your life.  I want to apply this to golf because I have a love for the game, and I hope this newfound relationship between PPF will be achieved in this one aspect of my life.  Of course, I will also apply this to all aspects of my life and whatever happens . . . will happen. ^_^

I think the best place to start is to put all the dots together that has brought me to this place.  I have a fascination with the concept of time.  I believe we came up with it so that we could put order into our lives.  But when we did this, we should have explained to everyone the danger of separating the PPF.  We have a tendency to separate everything in the physical world.  We separate ourselves from each other.  We see all things as being separate from us.  If we could see the ether and see how the spiritual world interacts with the physical world, with all the spiritual cords connecting everything, and thus, everything and everyone to God . . . we could then see the connection between the PPF.  Meishu-sama also described our connection to our ancestors.  This was a very good hint that our understanding of the concept of time was flawed.  Just imagine spiritual cords connecting us to our ancestors who of course lived in the past.  And if we help elevate their soul then we indirectly elevate our soul.  This is pretty cool stuff.  Dr. Dispenza put the frosting on the cake by sharing the weird science project that the Israelis conducted which once again confirmed a strange relationship between the present and the past.  He also shared his personal story about his biking accident.  His story definitely connected the present with his future.  And in a way, he also connected to his past.

This reminds me of the HG Wells, novel The Time Machine.  The latest movie version of the novel once again confirmed some aspect of this theory about the connection between PPF.  The main character of the movie was told by a future nemesis that his existence in the future with his time machine occurred because he lost his fiancé in a robbery gone bad in the past.  Of course, HG Wells used the time machine to connect PPF.  But the theory once again backs up this new approach to this situation.  Once the main character became aware of the reason for his fiancé’s death, he lost the excessive desire to go back to change it.  This change in perception of the past allowed him to see a new future which he then was able to proceed with his plan in the present.

This is a nice little package to now apply to every golf shot in a round of golf.  Excuse me while I take a short break and walk outside to my backyard practice facility and try out this theory on my golf game.  ^_^   I tried it out on three pitch shots, and they all hit the target.  I also swung my driver . . . what an amazing experience and wonderful results.  I am going back out there to check out my putting.    Wow!!! Also, amazing results.

This is all happening in one day.  I just got some great news.  One of my stepdaughters just was notified that she will be going to Hawaii for a second interview with Hawaiian Airlines for a flight attendant position.  And then, my other stepdaughter just passed a very difficult recertification exam.  ^_^

I just had to say that . . . but a thought came to me. We often proceed forward with fear in our hearts.  We could go into an interview or test unprepared and fearing failure.  Or we could go into the event prepared and give it our best shot.  I believe we live in a friendly universe which rewards hard work.   And if you apply this theory on PPF, what do you have??

Let me attempt to describe this relationship between PPF.  In God’s infinite wisdom, he is preparing us for our fate/destiny.  So whatever happens in the past . . . the good, the bad and the ugly . . . happens to us in preparation for our future.  The present is just a moving target that connects our past to our future.  So let’s say in your past you experienced a terrible accident on the I-10 returning from work (in my blog ^_^) and I walked away from it with a slight bruise on my left shoulder.  I walked away from that accident thinking I used up a lot of my luck.  I always considered myself a lucky menehune because of good fortune in my life.  That accident occurred in 2008 and my life did not change until the end of 2009.  Big changes started to occur in my life when I looked at that accident in a different way.  Luck had nothing to do with it.  I changed my understanding of the accident.  God was sending me a sign to help me decide on my mission.  He saved me so I could continue living in the physical realm probably to help with creating Paradise on Earth.  My understanding of all the close calls I have experienced further confirmed God’s intention of using me as an instrument of His will.

So, part one of this theory is:

  1.  A changed look/understanding of a past event will clearly change our future.  (It happened to the character in the movie, The Time Machine and it happened in my life)

Have you ever wondered why successful people have failures prior to their successes?  This theory is the reason why.  If you look at a failure the way God wants us to see it, it will change the course of our lives.  My stepdaughter had several failed interviews which she learned a lot from.  With that clear understanding of past mistakes, she walked into this interview and was more prepared than the other applicants. (Btw, fast forward a year and we find this step daughter working for arguably the premier airline in the world, Delta Airlines-failures bring us closer to success)  My other stepdaughter knew how difficult the test was going to be so she prepared accordingly. (If she had failed it would have brought her another step closer to success)

Now, you are probably wondering how I can use this on the golf course.  I don’t want to swing my golf club fearing the ball is going into a lake in front of a long 195-yard par 3 hole that is all carry.  Instead, I would like to thank God for the opportunity.  We all have past experiences which end in failure.  If we learn from the failure and become more skilled, then the past will influence our good fortune.  Imagine a beautiful shot going thru a window in the sky, the ball rocketing to the green and settling down 3 feet in front of the hole and bouncing once and rolling into the hole for an amazing hole-in-one.  I will thank God if that occurs or if I make a good swing and the golf ball hits a bird and it falls into the lake.  Either way . . . golf is an amazing game which mirrors life very well.  This attitude toward both apparent success and apparent misfortune is the best way to allow the universe to help you achieve your destiny.  And btw, part 2 of this theory comes into clear focus.

2.  If we don’t learn from our experiences/failures we will be doomed to repeat those experiences/failures into the future.

What is the relationship between the past, the present and the future (PPF)?

Two days ago, I wrote an essay on this subject that made logical sense to me and people may see the utility of using this theory to change their lives for the better.  Or they may only see the logic of the situation.  A smoker of 50 years sees the error in picking up his first cigarette and quits on the spot.  If the smoker understands the logic of the mistake than the decision to stop smoking sticks and after considerable effort and self-discipline the person is finally free from cigarettes.  Now, you are probably wondering about the weird science part of the PPF.  I will address that subject in this essay.

I woke up this morning at 4:30 and was struck by the clarity of what I am about to share with you.  We have all heard stories of miraculous healing.   Why is this possible?  I would like to change the above story just a little bit.  I am making up a story to demonstrate the weird science side of PPF.   The above smoker realizes the error of his ways and quits smoking.  This occurs 1 day prior to the scheduled surgery date.  The surgery is to remove half his lungs which had signs of a cancerous tumor.  He not only sees the error of his ways, but he goes back to the first cigarette he smoked as a teenager, and it was like he went back in a time machine and talked some sense into his teenage self.  His teenage self did not even pick up the habit.  The next day he sees the doctor and says he has stopped coughing and the pain is gone.  The doctor orders another CT scan and the cancer is gone.  This is a made-up story but if we did some research, I bet we could find real life instances where a patient recovered miraculously.  The question is why? And can we repeat it?

I propose the 3rd and final part of the PPF theory.

3.  Changing our perception of what happened in the past will shape our future in wondrous ways.  (Americans will love this one . . . immediate results)

Now you are wondering how we can truly believe we were able to go back in time and change our perception of things.  This is where the hard work comes in.  The reason you don’t hear too many stories like this is because not many people are like Dr. Dispenza.  And not many people are aware of Johrei (prayer in action).  And not many people know how to pray.  And not too many people are aware of Imagination Training.  And not too many people are aware of PPF.  ^_^

I am going to close with a thought from a previous blog.   I got this prayer from another member.

What we have here is the perfect partnership between our minds with a possible reality and God who knows what really needs to be done . . . Wow!!

There are many situations in my life where I am presently using this partnership. The prayer prior to starting Johrei is an important one. The prayer before and after a meal. The prayer before going to bed. The prayer before starting a project. The prayer before looking for a parking space in front of a busy store. The prayer prior to an important golf shot. ^_^

What follows is a slightly changed version of my previous blog:

What comes after the prayer is just as important. Wouldn’t it be nice, if by raising my hand . . . we can help this person. Wouldn’t be nice if eating this meal brings us enormous pleasure and lot’s of vitality. Wouldn’t it be nice if closing our eyes and going to bed, after 2 hours of reading, brings us deep, restful sleep. Wouldn’t it be nice if I could visit my younger self and talk some sense into him and not start this nasty smoking habit.   Wouldn’t it be nice if someone leaves a parking slot open for us in front of the store. Wouldn’t it be nice if this golf ball goes in the hole. ^_^

But with any result . . . Please thank God.

August 20,2023

I just missed another opportunity to use this prayer.

While my family had an energetic discussion during breakfast about the, not so good present and a probable dismal future. It became very obvious to me from the beginning of the discussion the huge differences in opinion that we all had. That was normal but we did have a very difficult time seeing the other persons’s viewpoint. I found myself working on a response to my stepdaughter’s position while she was speaking which prevented me from truly listening to her point of view. And she possibly was having the same problem because she was very passionate about her position.

Well . . . the reason I am mentioning this is . . . I could have prayed to myself prior to the discussion. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could truly listen to each other’s positions. If we could . . . perhaps it would be more than just a discussion on why we are in such a mess . . . and possibly move the discussion to things that we could do to make things better.

Sort of jokingly I mentioned I am using this prayer on the golf course and in looking for parking spaces but I am truly looking for opportunities where this will help our present situation in more meaningful ways. Since this prayer is not automatically coming to my consciousness I will continue to use it on every golf shot. ^_^

Btw, you don’t have to stick with the exact verbiage. Wouldn’t it be great if (possible option) . . . we could remember this phrase when any challenge comes up in our lives. A better world may materialize.

I would like to share a paragraph from Meishu-sama’s Teaching entitled, “The Philosophy of Intuition” Meishu-sama wrote:

“The philosophy of intuition can correct the errors man is prone to make. When he observes something, he should face it with a pure, uncluttered consciousness, with complete open-mindedness. In order to do this, he should become the self of the moment; that is, he should rely on the impression he receives intuitively the moment he encounters something, for it is the impression he receives in that first moment that correctly offers the truth of what he has encountered.”

You are probably wondering how I am connecting the dots. What I am trying to share with you is on the frontier of spiritual thought. With the modern education and all of our experiences with the physical world it becomes very difficult to see new things with an open mind. Especially if the new thing is invisible and borders on science fiction fantasy. Changing the past seems impossible but when you bring prayer into the equation all of a sudden everything becomes possible. Why? Because intuition allows us to see all things with a perception which is closer to the truth then if we relied on our own, logical, much vaunted, educational mind.

THE PRIMARY WORLD

Waka plus an essay by Eiji Takahara (Spiritual World)

       Spiritual World,.

What is it? And where is it?

        Why are we so lost?

Once we know the world of cause

        Every problem will be solved.

I have read Meishu-sama’s teaching on the spiritual world many times, but it took Alison one time reading out loud bringing home some details about the spiritual world which makes everything make a little bit more sense.  And making spiritual solutions to our problems a feasible option.  The spiritual world is all around us and inside of us.  It is like all the material world is immersed in an invisible sea called the spiritual world.  I believe science has been unable to observe it, or measure it to prove, without a shadow of a doubt, of its existence.  But physical forces such as gravity become easier to understand once you place the entire universe into this invisible sea.

I am going to stumble along trying to explain all this in my own words but do not worry, I will be including many paragraphs of Meishu-sama’s teachings . . . in fact, I may include the entire essay.  ^_^

Let us start with the title, “The Primary World” – this alone is a good place to start.  If I was a movie producer this is a perfect place to start a screenplay surrounding this topic.  It reminds me of the movie, Matrix.  When we all realize that our world is just a reflection of the spiritual world, “The Primary World” is not a misnomer and many things begin to make sense.  The first paragraph of this teaching is a good start:

“In the past, only the physical world engaged people’s interest, since humanity was not aware of another world, the spiritual world of cause.  Because its existence cannot be perceived by standard investigative methods, science made progress only in studies of the material world, and our civilization shows this imbalance.”

The next teaching that I would like to use in support of this line of reasoning is “The Power of Spiritual Energy”.  In this teaching Meishu-sama shares a look at a world that most of us are not aware of.  The first paragraph of this teaching is a good place to start:

Modern science has discovered many facts about our world and the atmosphere surrounding it.  However, atmosphere, matter – all the elements known to us through our senses alone – are only physical.  Science has yet to fully account for that which lies beyond those five senses.

Now I am jumping into the exciting part.  The fifth paragraph of this teaching are the words that caught my attention:

The visible world, the physical world known to our five senses, is immersed in a sea of universal energy.  Unknown from the perspective of scientific evidence, this “sea” is the spiritual world.  According to the natural laws of the universe, all that appears in the physical world first originates in the spiritual realm, just as thoughts give rise to all physical manifestations”.

So, episodes in Star Trek makes more sense.  The book put together by David Wilcock, “The Source Field Investigations” makes more sense.  ^_^  Doing more chin ups without being stronger makes more sense.  Gaining energy through better breathing makes more sense.  And, of course, the effectiveness of prayer, makes more sense.

What follows are both teachings in its entirety.  Enjoy!

THE PRIMARY WORLD (7)

In the past, only the physical world engaged people’s interest, since humanity was not aware of another world, the spiritual world of cause. Because its existence cannot be perceived by standard investigative methods, science made progress only in studies of the material world, and our civilization shows this imbalance.

The spiritual realm is the primary world.  It is much more important than the physical world, since it is the realm of cause and the source of basic power. A complete civilization can never be attained without realization of this truth.  Nothing proves it better than the fact that happiness, the greatest desire of the human race, has not kept pace with material progress.

If humanity had fully realized the existence and importance of the spiritual world from the beginning, material civilization might not have progressed as far as it has.  Ignorance of the spiritual world’s existence gave birth to atheism, which led to the birth of evil.  The struggle between good and evil then began. In its one-sided evolution, the human race had to suffer much pain. Material civilization is now so advanced that without a commensurate growth in spirituality its further development may only lead to its self-destruction. One of the major signs of this critical condition is the development of the atomic bomb.

God has decided that now is the time for the greatest change in human progress. As the first step in the accomplishment of the changes, God has chosen to reveal the existence of the spiritual world visibly. The realm that has been largely ignored for such a long time will receive its just attention, and the necessary balance will thereby be established.

This visible manifestation cannot be achieved through the utilization of orthodox science, but through the release of the Power of God, which humankind has never experienced before.

It is difficult to persuade the purely materialistic thinker to accept this Power. I believe the most convincing way to demonstrate it to someone is through the miracle of Johrei.  Upon observing the marvelous results, even an atheist would have to give some thought to the invisible power of the transmitted Divine Light.

When the truth is known to all the world, civilization will inevitably change and will develop a balanced, peaceful, constructive order all humanity can enjoy.

Before this can take place, a troublesome problem remains to be solved. The amount of clouds accumulated over thousands of years of material development is immeasurable.  By clouds I mean the impurities of the human spirit and body.  These present tremendous obstacles to the establishing of a new civilization. Like mountainous heaps of trash on the ground where a new structure is to be erected, the impurities must be removed before the building can begin. There must be a thorough cleaning, a complete purification. It cannot be avoided. It is nothing less than the long-prophesied Day of Judgment.

In the light of these facts, you can see that miracle-working Johrei is a wonderful part of God’s Plan for awakening humanity to the presence of the primary world – the spiritual world. With it, human beings will be able to develop an unshakable faith and a real desire to contribute their share toward the establishing of a perfect world.

THE POWER OF SPIRITUAL ENERGY (10)

Modern science has discovered many facts about our world and the atmosphere surrounding it.  However, atmosphere, matter – all the elements known to us through our senses alone – are only physical.  Science has yet to fully account for that which lies beyond those five senses.

What I wish to dwell on now is something that is in the realm beyond the material, the release of the spiritual energies around the earth.

The word “spirit” is most generally used to indicate something that is invisible or intangible.  Because of this, it has been limited to the category of religion or spiritualism.

There has been a tendency among many individuals to deny the existence of spirit, to treat it as mere superstition.  This is unfortunate, for, the truth is that spirit is the actual source of power, the tremendous energy that creates, activates and maintains all things in this universe.  Spirit, the invisible force, is not only omnipresent but omnipotent.

The visible world, the physical world known to our five senses, is immersed in a sea of universal energy.  Unknown from the perspective of scientific evidence, this “sea” is the spiritual world.  According to the natural laws of the universe, all that appears in the physical world first originates in the spiritual realm, just as thoughts give rise to all physical manifestations.

In the past, material science attempted to explain all of life in physical terms, and that is why humanity’s much-vaunted progress has not really brought happiness with it.  The troubles of the physical world can only be solved by recognizing that everything begins in the spiritual realm, and so, all problems must first be solved on the spiritual level before they can be successfully dealt with on the physical plane.

Illness is no exception.  True healing can come only through the healing of spirit by Spirit.

The human being has a visible physical body and an invisible spiritual body, the physical being a manifestation in the material world of the spiritual body, which belongs to the spiritual world.  When the physical body suffers from disease, the true cause of it lies within the spiritual body.  A toxic area or affected spot of any kind is simply the outer or surface reflection of clouds that are covering the same part of the spiritual body.

Nature tries to eliminate these clouds through its own processes so the body can work toward its God-given wholeness.  Pain is an indication of the action that is attempting to disperse the clouds, clearing some of them from the spiritual body so they are no longer manifested as strongly in the physical body through disease or other afflictions.

We call this process purification.  The purification of the spiritual body is a wonderful solution for any human misery, and the way to achieve it is with the Divine Light of God.  Human beings must recognize this and obey the laws of Spirit on all levels of existence if there is to be a constant condition of health and happiness.

In the process we call death, the physical body has become unable to function as a result of illness, injury or a general degeneration.  The spiritual body therefore separates itself; and while the discarded physical body returns to dust, it returns to the spiritual world, where it stays until it is ready to reincarnate.

The primary spirit – or soul – is infinite, of main importance, and has eternal life, while the physical body is finite and of secondary importance, existing only for a single lifetime.  Therefore, the primary spirit, the true being, should be the center of our attention in healing.

It was revealed to me that every living creature, every vegetable and mineral emits spiritual vibrations that are different to any other.  Of them all, the vibrations of the human being are the highest.

While all human bodies emit a more powerful radiation than anything else in creation, each one differs in the degree of power according to the spiritual awareness of the individual.  The greater the spiritual discernment, the finer and purer is the spiritual radiation and the higher is the vibration; and the higher the vibration, the more difficult it becomes to detect it by material means.

There is a spiritual radiation that is far superior to the human.  It is the Divine Radiation, or what we term the Divine Light.  Through revelation, I learned how to contact and then send the Light for the welfare of humankind.
This is done by bringing it into focus, then transmitting it through the hand in a special way that disintegrates the clouds on the spiritual body.  The process is that which we call Johrei.

One of the outstanding characteristics of this Divine Spiritual Energy is that it is effective only when it is used for the welfare of humanity.

The principle of Johrei is taught to each member of our movement, so each may become a conduit for the Divine Energy.  The strength of one’s faith and the degree of one’s love influence the intensity of the Light.  As the member grows in spiritual understanding, the flow of Light increases accordingly.  Thus, each has the privilege of sharing in the Divine Plan for the transformation of this world into a true and real paradise.

3/11/24 update:

Reverend Nagase, our minister, shared with us sermons on this very same subject the past two services. He used the analogy of the old movie film and projection representing the spiritual and the physical worlds. To be clear, the movie projection on the screen represents the physical world and the movie film in the projector is the spiritual world (the primary world of cause) So you are now watching a movie and you don’t like something you see. How silly would it be to go up to the projection and wave your arms to attempt to change it? Pretty silly. That is what is occurring in our lives when we see a problem that needs to be fixed. We attempt to fix physical problems with physical solutions. This is quite ineffective. A more effective way of doing this is . . . going back to the analogy . . . go to the film in the projector . . . remove it . . . take it to the editing room and make the changes. So you are probably asking a question. What is the equivalent to a person removing the film and making changes? Well, Rev. Nagase covered this in his recent sermon. The effective changes occur when the spiritual side of things are changed. And how do you do that? Well, old fashion, severe suffering, can be effective in changing one’s life. But we prefer to use something which is even more effective than that. Johrei (purification of the spirit). Take disease as an example, presently we have physical solutions to this apparent physical problem. Once again we try to solve the problem with a physical solution. (kill the virus/ kill bacteria) Since the film requires editing let’s approach the solution with things which are invisible . . . such as the pre-conscious mind/subconscious mind and/or Johrei/prayer. These are the tools of the editor of the film. With the acceptance of this universal truth, I believe a healthier future will be as Meishu-sama predicted.

What a wakeup call.

The last week has been a blessing.

I am connecting

The dots again, Eureka!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, God!

Thank you, God, for our many blessings.  The highs and lows were cramazing.  But the challenges that Alison and I have gone thru this past week was a challenge that has been going on all our lives.  It took quite a bit to break thru our hard heads in this matter.  We often ask the question “why is this happening to me?”  Well, the answer was painful but necessary.

Let me share this past week, one day at a time.

Saturday was an amazing day.  It started with Alison receiving her weekly acupuncture treatment from Dr. Arnette.  As always, the acupuncture gives Alison relief and Saturday was a happy experience/memory.   We enjoyed grocery shopping and truly enjoyed making meatball soup.  Wow!  Onolicious!

Sunday was a huge crash.  Alison slept most of the day.  I channeled the light and made sure she was resting.  When she was awake her pain was terrible.  But, thank God, for her ability to sleep thru this.  This day was part of the dots we needed to connect.  Alison already recommended the book, “Heaven is For Real”.  I spent the day channeling Johrei and reading the book.  The most important lesson will not happen until Friday morning and reading the book played an important role of awakening our souls.

Monday was another day of pain, but this time Alison was awake a few more hours.  I asked for help from our church prayer group. And I doubled my efforts in channeling the light and I was praying to take some of the pain from her not knowing the dire consequences from praying in this manner.  Now I understand, I was getting in the way of God’s will.  I know about the lesson with the monarch butterfly struggling to get out of its cocoon.  If I helped it, the butterfly would never fly and fulfill its mission.  The struggle is necessary to force fluids into the wings making it possible for it to fly and do what butterflies do.  Well, me praying to take her pain from her was not right, but it played an important role for our spiritual growth.  A little miracle occurred.   Alison received an hour of relief and during that time she drank some water and she had some broth. She also believed she was perceiving the spiritual world.  She kept touching my hand because all she saw was a bright light shining out of my palm.  She also took in more soup for dinner, but her system could not handle it and it went straight thru her.  And I knew she was getting enough water because her tears were flowing.  (Tears of joy and tears of pain within a few minutes.)

Tuesday was supposed to be a day of work.  She was barely holding it together and I told her she needed to rest.  The weekend was very hard on her.  So, I sent a message to Pete and told him she was having a flareup and she will see Dr. Yang tomorrow and report her status on Wed.  So, she rested on Tuesday and I went back to my normal way of channeling Johrei.  My overriding prayer was “Please use me as Your instrument in understanding Your love.” At the end of the day, Alison was exhausted.  I was exhausted.  We were both frustrated.  We had no faith in God.  Almost continuous Johrei was not working as advertised and I failed the test.  I would describe this moment as the low point of my entire life.

Wednesday was another day of pain. She made it to Dr. Yang.  Her pain was so great that she told Dr. Yang to remove her arms and legs.  His theory was that Alison was exhausted.  Her fatigue allowed her to sleep even with all the pain.  An interesting theory but I believe the big picture was about to be revealed to us.  We went from the appointment directly to the Miroku Assn. Center where Alison received Johrei from Rev. Nagase and some very important counsel.  He told me to report to him every hour.  She was feeling better, but God’s will was still around the corner.  She was receiving the light almost continuously and resting/sleeping on and off.  She enjoyed a late salad when she woke up and then she enjoyed a salmon dinner.  Good news!  Her body was accepting the food.  That evening we enjoyed watching a very good movie, “Sleepless in Seattle” and she was coming back to normal, but God’s will was still around the corner.

Thursday was another day of rest.  She was eating normally, and she was channeling and receiving Johrei.  We are slowly realizing that God will reveal his plan any moment now.

Friday is the day we finally figured out the message from God.  Alison is up and about and bubbly and reading a book when I woke up.  I am now playing catch up with her.  We enjoyed breakfast very early and then God’s will was finally revealed.  The book she was reading was her Mother’s and there was a blue post it on it.  She opened the book and started reading about a young lady who was struggling with her faith.  Her circumstances mirrored Alison’s in many respects.  Even the Heaven like experience that Alison experienced on Monday and then the pain returning was an important lesson.  In the book, the woman’s faith became stronger.  Her faith in God prevented the devil from hurting her.  And so, all the pain and suffering were necessary to make her faith stronger.  Well, Alison’s faith is stronger.  Everything we go thru can be considered a blessing from God.  Now we can see.  God’s love is teaching her how to love her children, her friends, her employees, and herself.   We are not here to take the pain away from those who are suffering.  We are here to offer encouragement, Johrei and prayer so that God’s will be done.       That was supposed to be the last paragraph for this blog, but I have a few more additions for today.  While we were at the Center another member was purifying and Alison was listening to her situation to see if she could help.  Well, the pain in Alison’s arms and legs were slowly returning but the sequence of events that occurred in God’s House came to the rescue.  She could not hear the entire story because she needed to receive Johrei.  But she heard enough to receive the special message from God.  We believe the member received a message from God.  And that message may have been intended for Alison as well.  Wow!  I will not go into the message now.

I watched a movie.

I believe what the boy saw.

Seeing his Dad’s Pop

Is the dot I connected.

I love the way God does things.

I am enjoying a movie with Alison.  The movie is called “Heaven is for Real”.  It is based on a bestselling novel which Alison read.  Well, I loved the movie.  During the movie there were two situations which helped me connect the dots to God Shots that occurred in my life.

I would like to thank Rev. Nagase, whose counsel I always pay attention to . . . and I always try to include it into my life.  Many years ago, I was recently married and was stationed at Clark AB in the Philippines.  I believe it was 1980.  Mary, the mother of my four children was pregnant with our first.   Our daughter did not make it.  She transitioned in the womb at 19 weeks and Mary experienced a spontaneous abortion.  I regret not having a death certificate and a funeral knowing what I know now.  That would have forced us to name her.  But since we did not . . . she was not named.  Fast forward to tonight.  I see the movie and I realize that a dot was connected, and a huge confirmation occurred.   In the movie, the Pastor, also lost their daughter early in the pregnancy.   The four-year-old son who visited heaven during a near-death experience met a 5 year old version of the fetus and she had no name.   Last year, Mary and I named our first daughter, Malia, and we had a special memorial service for her. Everyone should have a name.

Ok, the next confirmation came with the part of the movie about the little boy seeing his Dad’s Pop (Grandpa).  The boy said that he saw Pop.  So, his Dad, the Pastor, showed him a picture of Pop and the boy said, that was not his Grandpa.  Then the pastor dug up an old picture of his Pop when he was a lot younger.  He may have been in his late 20s, maybe early 30s.  The boy looked at the picture and identified him as his Grandpa.  When an elderly person transitions to the spiritual world, I have been told that a younger version of the elderly person is what the spirit looks like.  Well, confirmation here and confirmation when I saw my Mom walk out of my home a day after she transitioned.  She looked like she was 40 years old.  She wore white shorts and a basic white aloha shirt with light red flowers.  I was hoping she would stop and turn around, but she did not.  I believe she was in a hurry to go somewhere.  Hopefully, to heaven.

This is all happening during the month of our Annual Ancestors Service.  I am sure glad Rev. Nagase chose the teachings that he did in preparation for the service.  My awareness of the spiritual world has never been higher.  Thank you, thank you and thank you.

By the way, I highly recommend the book. It is an easy read. Lots of tears of joy. ^_^

6/26/24 update: I mentioned in this blog, seeing my Mom leaving our home a day after her transition to the spiritual world. I forgot to mention a couple of things. Yes . . . I was surprised to see her. I have never seen such a clear image of a spirit before and the other thing that surprised me was the fact that she was wearing shorts.. I have been straining my little brain and I don’t recall ever seeing my Mom in shorts. ^_^

I wish to share a quick thought.  Wow!  This quick thought may turn out to be a God Shot.  This morning I was engaging in my early morning “chin ups”.  I remember something from my Air Force Academy days where we were required to do “pullups” just prior to lunch in Jack’s Valley.  30 seconds of exercise just prior to eating seemed like a good idea.  Well, this morning I realized the problem I may have with the pull up bar is the fact that my feet are not touching the ground.  In many things that I do in this world, I use the ground as a source of power and energy.  But since my feet are in the air, historically, I struggled with the pull up bar.  Well, this morning was different.  Instead of using the ground as the source of energy and power, I used my hands and my oneness with everything around me . . . including the air, the ground, and the entire world and all the lifeforms on this planet.  It was the most incredible feeling.  Just thinking about this, as I am writing this, is giving me a surge of energy.  ^_^

Ok, so you are probably wondering how many “chin ups” did I accomplish this morning.  I stopped at five.  I could have done more but,  I am connecting the dots here . . . last week I accompanied my fiancée to her acupuncture appointment.  Dr. Arnette is an amazing character and I know he says things in a light-hearted manner and he is definitely speaking the truth.  He said the old saying, “practice makes perfect” is not correct.  A better version of it is . . . “perfection is in the practice”.  I want to practice this sonen so that I can use it in other parts of my life.  So . . . throughout the day I will use it.  While doing exercise, while washing the dishes, playing golf, playing ping pong,  while writing my blog, while breathing.  It helps with my sonen if I connect everything with spiritual cords.  Wow!  I can feel the surge of energy again.

8/7/22

I am reading this blog, now, two years later and I realize the connection that really counts is to God. The spiritual energy just flows when we think of God. My daily connection to God is thru Nature. It is all around us. Even in our homes when we have flower arrangements in every room. Thank you God!

8/16/23

A year later and I realize I need to pay attention to what I am writing. Sometimes I am not aware of the source of what I am writing. That being said . . . I need to reread my own blogs to make sure I include it into my life. Today for some reason I received a huge surge of energy. Looking back at my morning I did a little bit of QiGong before watering the plants around my home. But something happened prior to the Morning Service at the Center. I believe it is confirmation of what Noah said to his family. He told them that many people of the world eat meat thinking it will give them strength. They have forgotten that strength comes from God. So what happened this morning is . . . I felt the presence of God while preparing the altar. This feeling is unmistakable because I feel it when I visit the Sacred Grounds. And then, an amazing thing happened . . . when I glanced at the picture of Meishu-sama, I could have sworn that he was smiling. I blinked and stared again . . . the smile was gone. Well, that was good enough for me. Our connection to God and Meishu-sama is the most important connection of all.

Update: I realize that there is a common thread with all the previous entries. Mindfulness. Last night, Alison and I watched a documentary on Buddhism. It was very interesting. A lot of what was said were confirmations of Meishu-sama’s teachings. The one part which resonated with me was the word “mindfulness” It is in the Eightfold Path but it was also mentioned with the coverage of Zen Buddhism. Mindfulness in everything we do. While walking, while writing, while exercising, while doing the dishes, while praying, while channeling Johrei and while living, period. Being on autopilot at certain times is okay but mindfulness is the key to allowing the mind to overcome the chaotic mess of our daily thoughts.

This morning I was sharing with Alison a short phrase that came to mind. ”Budgeting our way to prosperity”. The reason for budgeting is not to restrict us. A more important reason is to bring mindfulness into our spending habits. If our budget is $12,000 per month, then a budget would keep our spending within our income stream. If our monthly income stream was 12 million dollars per month then a budget would do the same thing. Our spending will be mindful and once again there is a chance that we will keep our spending well within our present income stream and live a life style in harmony with that income stream. This is a gift that Meishu-sama and the Buddha gave to us in their teachings. To be aware of our present situation is in line with the words of many philosophers. It just makes sense. Details can be contemplated and addressed in the present and will allow us to live in harmony with our environment. The environment changes. Our income stream changes and we should properly address those changes with changes in our budget. What a concept. Thank you, Buddha. Thank you, Meishu-sama. Thank you, God!

Back to my chin ups. ^_^

6/24/24 Update: Since this blog started with exercise, I thought I would give everyone the latest in that regard. A month ago, I was enjoying my lunch in the teacher’s lounge when a conversation was heard by all. A teacher shared that many years ago she was in the service and she did 1,000 push ups every day. I was very surprised to hear it. I don’t know if it was true or not. Just the thought of it, motivated me to start exercising again. Pushups is my favorite. I don’t know why I stopped. I am up to 120 per day. I may not reach 1,000, but I hope and pray that I do not ever stop exercising again. I feel alive and grounded. ^_^

Cool breeze from up North.

Reverend Vania said

That is her mantra.

Be a comfort to people.

Not a nuisance like many.

I believe, normally, this would be an essay, not a God shot.  You are probably wondering what is the difference?  Well, an essay is a nice to know topic.  A God Shot has a personal/spiritual aspect to it.  Ok, here goes . . .

Last Wed at 6:30pm during our weekly lesson on the teachings, Rev. Nagase chose two teachings written by Meishu-sama on the topic of Pragmatism.  Rev. Vania shared an interesting practice that she has used over the years.   She likes to think of herself as a cool breeze on a very hot day.   As she was saying it, I couldn’t help thinking how this thought matched her personality.  I thought of her as a cool breeze, and everything she shared felt inspirational and not pushy.  And it was something I could accept as true and add it into my life or just leave it as a good idea . . . not worth trying, at this point, to add to my my life.  The reason I was going to write an essay on this idea is because I thought it was good and I was going to give it a try.  Well, I changed my mind this morning.  It was the last dot I needed to connect to make this a God Shot.  (Connecting the dots is so much fun ^_^)   The first dot appeared in a Chapter of the book, Musashi, written by Yoshikawa Eiji.  In this Chapter a wise master told Musashi that his weakness was . . . he was too strong.  Wow!  Ok.  The next dot was a teaching of Meishu-sama concerning how members should behave when they are sharing our spiritual movement.  The last dot was “Cool Breeze”.  The reason I am not quoting passages is because I want to do something different with this God Shot.  I am going to turn the passages into audios of the words being spoken by, yours truly.  I hope you like it.

Excerpt from Meishu-sama’s Teaching on Pragmatism
Excerpt from a novel written by Eiji Yoshikawa, “Musashi”

Going back to the dots.  If we are too strong and use our strength and influence to convince the person to join the Divine Light Program, things may not work out because it may not be the right time or the correct decision for that person.  But if you come across as a cool breeze the person may join because it is the right time.  Now you are probably wondering where is the God Shot.  Well, this morning Alison was sharing her concern about a meeting with her daughters.  She was so concerned that it kept her up all night.  Alison is spending quality time with her girls with one thought in mind, “Cool Breeze”.  This morning when she shared her intentions, it felt like a good plan and my entire body resonated with the truth of her words.  I have felt this before but never this strong.  It truly got my attention and the results are this blog and my future use of this tool . . . “Cool Breeze”.  I believe we all can become more pleasant by keeping this in mind.  Thank you God! Thank you Rev Vania!

6/26/24 Update: It has been a few years since I have updated this blog. I have used the concept of Cool Breeze. I see the words quite often because I named my favorite playlist, Cool Breeze. ^_^ I think of Rev Vania quite often and I realize that my personality is similar to hers. Maybe I am not as “Cool” as she is, but I now realize that there is a right time for all things. I am leaving more situations up to God, and, “God’s will be done” is repeated in my head more often than not. The world around us is turbulent and our lives are also full of challenges but my faith in God has improved because of those simple words . . . Cool Breeze. Thank you again, God! And thank you again, Rev Vania.

I have walked this path

Many times and it dawned on me

I am practicing

Living in the Physical World

God knows we need lots of practice.

The other day we decided to take a break from our daily routine of staying at home and squeezed a lot of different things into one day.  Sonia came by to brighten up the house.  Charlee grinned and willingly visited the Vet Hospital for a wash and nail clippings.  We headed up to our Sacred Grounds,  a Catholic retreat in Palos Verdes.  We decided to visit the maze and also enjoy a picnic there.

I cannot remember the thoughts I carried with me starting out the walk but it occurred to me that, for me, the walk clearly symbolizes the difference between our destiny and our fate.  But before going into that . . .   let me share a thought with you from Meishu-sama which concerns good fortune and genuine happiness.  He wrote, ‘. . . Therefore, a person should avoid all evil and do only good deeds, purifying the spiritual body that much more, making it lighter.  This is the secret to attaining true happiness and good fortune. . . “ (Teachings of Meishu-sama, Volume 4)  Well, that advice is for everyone.  Including all the members of our church.  We also have a very important tool called Johrei.  Well, I am sharing a lot with you.  I am attempting to connect the dots on many different things.  I will try my best . . . but in case I lose you . . . feel free to reach out.  I look forward in having a good conversation about this matter.

Ok, connecting the dots.  So, I am walking the maze.   If you follow the design of the maze it will eventually take you to your destination.  This particular maze does not have any dead ends.  Sometimes it may not appear to be taking you to the Center but if you trust God or trust the design of the maze you eventually will get there.  ^_^   The exercise of walking the maze confirms the importance of staying within the scope of your destiny while enjoying the journey.  We have many choices which may change our fate but not our destiny.   We could choose to stop and never get to the Center.  We could turn around and leave.  We could run and get there very quickly.  We could have a very relaxed walk and enjoy the company of our own thoughts as we look around and take in the beauty of the garden, the sea, the sky and the surrounding hills.   The feeling of bliss that I have achieved thru meditation, I have now achieved thru other things in life.  Sitting and enjoying a delicious meal.  Or washing all the dishes.  Or walking Charlee for his frequent visits to our neighbors.   Or walking the maze with my fiancée.

I have stumbled upon a simple truth about Meishu-sama’s teachings.  They are written clearly and seem to be common sense but . . .  it turns out to be very difficult when we attempt to put it into practice in our lives.  With that in mind, I am proposing something which may not make sense as a possible solution.  Use very simple every day things to put the teachings into practice.  Waking up in the morning and saying ‘Thank you” one hundred times.  That is something we can do.  Being grateful for the gift of another day seems like a good beginning.  If you think 100 times is too difficult . . .  try five . . . in five different languages.  ^_^   Ok, so you are probably wondering what thank you has to do with the maze.  Well,  I would like to propose this . . . instead of being grateful only when you wake up.  Let’s say it and feel it while walking the maze.  I assure you . . .  you will not regret it.  The next time you take a drink of water, say and feel gratitude . . .  say thank you.  The next time you put a bite size of delicious fried mochi into your mouth say and feel “thank you”  For me this all started on the golf course but this simple act has slowly infiltrated my life.  I say and feel gratitude in all things including walking the maze and the illusive feeling of bliss sneaks up on me and I am there.  Wow!!  Thank you God and Meishu-sama.

Obviously this is a tease, He goes on to explain the subject thoroughly. I tried to explain some of it in my blog. ^_^

SECRET OF GOOD FORTUNE (continuation)

As everybody knows, there isn’t anything more vague and elusive than good fortune.  This, I believe, is its nature.  Moreover, we have no power to do anything about it, therefore, we may as well leave it to destiny.

It has been well-stated that “life is a big gamble.”  So, even those who are considered great seem to accept their fates, although it is not easy for them wholeheartedly to do so.  Perhaps we are destined to live under the shadow of this uncertainty.  The ardent desire for good fortune enables us to work actively.  This makes us strain our limited minds and toil and struggle constantly until the end of life to earn money or to attain distinction.  This is perhaps the way a person’s life is supposed to be.  Since nothing is more elusive than good fortune, the more we attempt to grasp it, the more quickly it seems to escape.

From my long experience, I can say that I used to feel as though I was being mocked by fate; for, I often thought I could seize good luck easily, and yet I found it so hard to grasp.  It always seemed to be dangling in front of my eyes, but the moment I put out my hands to touch it, it slipped beyond my reach.  The faster I chased it, the faster it raced away.  It was indeed unmanageable!  But I know I have gotten hold of it now.

I find it very difficult to try to explain this, because there are things that are hard for people with little knowledge of the world’s spiritual nature to understand.  I say this since many individuals are inclined to judge everything superficially, without seeing into the heart of it; that is, they cannot penetrate to the core.  And the source of good fortune or happiness – of all things – lies in that core, the invisible part.  Without knowing this, no one can ever grasp true happiness.

When we move, our body does not do so of its own volition, but is directed by our mind.  The same principle applies to good fortune; it is the inner, invisible part that is important.  The surface, the superficial side is the physical world, and the interior part is the invisible world of ether, that which we call the spiritual world.  Such is the way the universe is constructed, the way God has created it.  The spiritual world activates the physical world, just as the mind activates the body, and in all matters the spiritual realm takes precedence over the physical.

So, good fortune follows the same rule: a person can become fortunate only when the spiritual self has become fortunate in the spiritual realm.  One’s condition there reflects upon the physical plane to make that person fortunate in this world.

Now, I am going to explain the spiritual world in detail.

In the spiritual realm, the classification system is more strict and impartial than in the physical world.  It is divided into three strata: the upper, middle and lower, each stratum being subdivided into sixty levels, making a total of one hundred and eighty levels.  The highest plane is what is generally called heaven, the lowest plane is generally referred to as hell, and the middle is what we call the intermediate plane, which has approximately the same conditions as those of the physical world.

Many people at present may find this difficult to believe.  However, it is the truth, revealed to me by God, which I can attest to from my own experience.  By thoroughly investigating into the relationship between the spiritual realm and the physical world, I have come to know its exact state to its very depth, so there can be no room for error.  There are innumerable individuals who have grasped good fortune and true happiness through expressing faith in this principle and actively living it.  I myself am one of them.  You will easily realize how true this is by looking at me objectively, because, I am now living in most fortunate circumstances.

Let me go one step further and explain those different levels.  While the physical body lives in the physical world, the spiritual self resides in the spiritual realm, on one of the one hundred and eighty levels.  Its position is not stationary, however; it constantly moves upward or downward, depending on the degree and amount of its good deeds or lack of them.  This movement reflects on the physical plane, influencing the fate of the physical individual.  Therefore,
a person should do his or her utmost to elevate the position of the spiritual self.

The lowest part of the spiritual realm is the region referred to as hell, with no light whatsoever, a world of suffering, lack and chaos, where evil spirits are actively working.  The highest part is heaven, full of Light, an ideal world of health, plenty and peace.  The central region is neither extremely good nor extremely bad.  The higher a spirit’s position is raised, the better the human environment becomes.

The exact state of each individual’s spiritual being in the spiritual world reflects on the physical being, determining fortunes here; so, it is obvious that elevation of the spiritual being in the spiritual realm is essential for the attainment of true happiness.  We often hear of some individuals who have risen quickly in their circumstances until they are envied by many and feel elated about this, and then have failed suddenly and have returned to their original poorer conditions in spite of their expectations of continued success.  Their falls can be attributed to their ignorance of the spiritual truths and their being overly dependent on human power.  Such people are also inclined to mistreat others and overwork themselves.  Consequently, they may succeed on the surface, but their spiritual selves are on the lowest spiritual level, hell.  The condition of their spiritual counterparts is inevitably reflected on their physical beings, according to the law of the spiritual preceding the physical.

Spiritual things have weight, just as material things do, and heavier beings sink to lower levels, whereas lighter beings ascend to higher ones.  What ancient people referred to as the burden of sin is accurate, because negative actions make a person’s spiritual body cloudy and heavy, whereas, virtuous acts purify it, making it lighter so the spiritual being can ascend.  Therefore, a person should avoid all evil and do only good deeds, purifying the spiritual body that much more, making it lighter.  This is the secret to attaining true happiness and good fortune.  This is the truth and I affirm that there is no other way to reach these goals.

I am sure you understand this principle, but to put it into practice is not as simple as it may seem.  There is one way to make it easy, however, and that is through a genuine faith in God.  So, I would like to encourage all who wish to attain happiness and good fortune to faithfully walk the path of spiritual truth.

6/24/24 Update: As I was reading this Teaching a thought crossed my mind. Meishu-sama’s Teachings are clearly stated but often times difficult to include into our lives. His way of eventually adding the teachings into our lives was to read the teachings daily. (Read it mindfully) Another way would be to concentrate on Volume 3 because those teachings were chosen as teachings that could change our lives. Still another way would be to include it, lightheartedly, to a game or activity. My game of choice is not a game any more . . . it is an activity. I seldom play the game of golf but I try to swing a golf club everyday. If I include, thank you and the feeling of gratitude, to every swing then I am hoping it translates into other activities and thus into other areas of my life. Since pushups are now back in my life. Perhaps with every pushup I can say thank you and feel genuine gratitude for our lives. So let’s connect the dots. The position our spiritual bodies have in the spiritual world determines our level of good fortune. Let us consider doing the things which raises our spiritual level every day. (Age of Night . . . suffering. We don’t have to consider adding any more suffering. It is a natural phenomena.) The other two methods of raising the spiritual level of one’s soul is much preferred. Virtuous deeds and appreciation of art and beauty. The above Teaching mentions something else in the last paragraph.

Meishu-sama wrote, “I am sure you understand this principle, but to put it into practice is not as simple as it may seem.  There is one way to make it easy, however, and that is through a genuine faith in God.  So, I would like to encourage all who wish to attain happiness and good fortune to faithfully walk the path of spiritual truth.”

And how do you do that? Shin, Zen, Bi. Truth, Virtue and Beauty.

It happened again.

This time I did not ask God.

I am just going

With the flow.  I am posting

This for some reason.  God knows.

Yesterday, the bookmark in my Volume 2 of the Teachings of Meishu-sama fell to the floor.  I just placed it back in.  This morning the teaching for the Daily Services was “The Light of Wisdom”.  The expanded version of this teaching is in Volume 2, page 6, and it is entitled, “Chiye (Wisdom) (27).  Guess where the book marker was located.  That is correct.  Well, I took this to be a sign and I am going with the flow.

I am including a photo of the teaching because we do not have an e-book ready yet.  But while I was giving my significant other some Johrei this morning it dawned on me.

The teaching goes into detail on Shin-chi and Ei-Chi.  Shin-chi is divine wisdom and Ei-chi is human wisdom.  Meishu-sama used a saying to differentiate between the two.  “One who studies and learns is a person of human wisdom, while one who knows without studying is a person of divine wisdom.”  I believe we all have the divine wisdom inside of us.  Education is drawing that wisdom out of us.  Once we lost sight of that, we started drifting away from God’s way of communicating with us.  What a shame!  Let us bring it back into our schools.  Let’s practice drawing divine wisdom out of our students.   Wow!  Let’s do it.  And this works for the material sciences as well.  It is never good to give the answers.  The students should struggle in finding the correct answer.  When it comes to material science the struggle may be just as important as the answer.

Btw, I am retired from education, but I will forward this to my colleagues who are still teaching.

Thank you, God, and Meishu-sama.

Another God Shot.

I asked God to help select

A teaching right now.

I thank God for what he found.

Indignation at Injustice.

After this morning’s prayer service, I asked for God’s help in selecting an extra teaching to read and study. This is the page He took me to . . .

” . . . Ideally speaking, you will not be of real use to the world if you are a person who does not feel indignation toward injustice. But it is the manner in which you express your indignation that requires consideration. You should take great care not to pass beyond the bounds of prudence even slightly and cause others trouble. You should always use common sense, keeping the spirit of love and friendship in your heart, and act with God’s Will as your own.” (Teachings of Meishu-sama, Volume 4, page 23)

The entire teaching rings true and I plan on sharing this wisdom with Gov. Newsome and President Trump. And all souls who are willing to read the teachings of a man who God shared important revelations . . . which may mitigate some of the suffering predicted in humanities future and is playing out even as I am writing this.

We are slowly making Meishu-sama’s teachings available in a digital format. Check out our website: http://www.miroku.us

I want to practice this self control by sharing a viewpoint of modern day strategies for dealing with infectious disease.

“If a member contracts an infectious disease, the law of the country must be observed at this present stage. Hospital quarantine will be required and his excrement will be disinfected. One thing to note here is that a person who contracts an infectious disease has vigorous purificatory strength. There shouldn’t be any particular worry over the disease. If a member is able to gain the cooperation of the doctor to refrain from any medications or inoculations and to rely on Johrei, the recovery will be surprisingly rapid. Furthermore, the person’s health will be better than before the illness.”

Of course this is understandable and a little bit of education will surely help the situation. The self control part is necessary for the next paragraph.

“There are two methods of defense against infectious diseases: One, is to have purified blood so that no matter what bacteria might enter the body, an individual will not become ill. The second, is to solidify the toxins so that the purificatory strength is weakened and the body is incapable of starting a purification. This latter method is used by various countries through vaccinations. This has accounted for the decrease in infectious diseases. However, chronic illnesses have increased in these same countries.”

I have never agreed with the concept of vaccinations. Even as a child I realized that this was not the correct action to take. But I spent a career flying aircraft for the United States Air Force and vaccinations were absolutely mandatory. With the present state of chronic illnesses and the continued use of vaccinations . . . we must display a united front in confronting the established medical world and slowly transition to a world where the truth is known and medication/vaccinations, as they are used today, is finally abolished. I believe the stats on the Covid fatalities in the U.S. clearly demonstrate that our population is overly vaccinated and weaker because of it. The frustrating part of all this is . . . Dr. Jenner is still considered a hero when he came up with the smallpox vaccine in 1796. And present day, we are still vaccinating our children more than ever. That means that the situation will get worse before it gets better. We need to do our part by spreading the truth about infectious disease.

Nagase Sensei

Is an instrument of God.

Alison is too.

He assigned me a student.

She was guided by Renso. (Huge Faith Experience)

This God Shot has several God shots in it plus a huge faith experience. I found out about a perspective new member, Alison, when Rev. Nagase asked me to take her and another perspective member thru the Member’s Introductory Course.  While teaching them the course I found out that both of my students were very interested in going on the pilgrimage to the Sacred Grounds in Japan later that year.   I remember thinking to myself how unusual it was that their intentions were so strong even before becoming members.

Fast forward a few months . . .  and my summer plans are becoming clearer. The pilgrimage to Africa was cancelled so I had the funds saved for that trip in my bank account. But my mother-in law passed away and I spent the money traveling to Seattle and helping with the expenses of the memorial service.  It was very nice seeing everyone again.   The reason I am sharing all this is to make clear that I did not have the funds to go to Japan, even if I wanted to join the pilgrimage.

Ok, the stage is set.  A friend of mine, Rev. Janet, who was visiting her Dad in Northern California was traveling back to Japan via L.A..  I wanted to say hi!  So, I also made plans to be at the L.A. Center when she came thru. It was nice having dinner with her and catching up. Just before leaving the Center a cramazing thing occurred.  Janet said to me,” So  . . .  you are going to Japan in September? I said, “ no. I am not planning on going.”  And then she said . . .  “That is odd. You just told me you are going.”  I shared with Janet my surprise that I had said that, but I told her . . .  I will see you in September.  A few days later, I asked Rev Nagase if I could sign up for the pilgrimage and I shared with him my concern about funding the trip. All he said was “congratulations for receiving permission to go.”  Three days later, while I am still figuring out how I am financing the trip, my older brother calls and shares some good news.  My Mom’s Trust Fund had some extra funds so he was sending my siblings and myself a check for $2,500,00.  Wow! Just enough to cover the pilgrimage. Thank you, God.  Thank you, Meishu-sama.  And thank you, Mom.  This is an important lesson for all of us. Making the decision to go is the most important. Once the spiritual world is on the move… God will provide.

I am glad I was open to God’s will.

Another God Shot occurred when I opened my phone to photographs. I wanted to find a photo to post with this blog. Guess what video was waiting for me when I selected “Photos”. You guessed it. A video from 2017. Thank you, God! (Side note: I watched this video again and it dawned on me. We have members of three different churches following Meishu-sama’s teachings. Wow! Expansion! ^_^
